Day Five

Today was all about leaving New England and heading south to Summit NJ.  No new states to check off today.  We said good-bye to Lexi and left Hanover  NH in a snowstorm (at least by Florida standards).   We saw 3 cars in the ditch, but we were fine.

Julie slept through MA and I slept through CT.  We crossed into New York on the GW bridge and had a gorgeous view of the NYC skyline.

We left at 9:00 and arrived at Patience’s house at 2:45.  We’re at 1,899 miles.  It was great to see Patience and Luke.  Luke is now 13 months old and walking everywhere.  He is adorable.

Tomorrow we start traveling to less familiar areas and will stop near Wheeling, WV.

We have enjoyed your comments.  Keep ’em coming.

  1. I’m jealous that you got to see NY, even if just for a few minutes. My hometown is always calling my name!
    Luke is just so sweet!
